Beach Wedding Hair & Make-up Tips

The best beach weddings are all about creating an atmosphere that is conducive to romance by using what nature instinctively offers. The ocean is the perfect backdrop to a wedding ceremony. The sunset offers the perfect lighting, the subtle wind blows back the bride’s dress and hair, creating the perfect setting. When it comes to beach weddings less is more, take this into consideration when planning your hairstyle & makeup. If you are not sure how to create a natural-beachy look schedule an appointment with a professional stylist and/or makeup artist. Whether you go to a professional or do it yourself here we give a few tips that will help you look your best on your big day.

Let's first begin by mentioning the things you should avoid as your wedding day is getting closer.

1. No extreme make-overs. Don't go from having long hair to cutting it short or changing the color or hairstyle. Trust me, this is not the right time for an extreme make-over. It'll be a disaster if you end up not liking your new look & it could ruin your wedding.
2. No tanning. There's always a risk for sunburns, think of the pain and your wedding pictures. If you do the spraying make sure you do it several weeks before the wedding, I'm sure no bride would like to look orange in her wedding pictures.

3. No trying new skin care products. You never know how your skin will react to the chemicals in a new product, instead run to your kitchen. There you will find all the natural stuff the will give you that glow you want. Keep reading and you'll find recipes for natural masks that will help your skin without being harsh.

Makeup

Your beach wedding look should be natural & chic. A dramatic look is not adequate for a beach wedding. To create a natural look choose a full coverage/light stay/water-proof foundation with SPF protection. Make sure you have oil-absorbing tissues with you in case your face starts to get shiny. Avoid using powder as it'll make you look ""cakey"". Choose sandy color eyeshadow & opt for a brown eyeliner. A brown eyeliner will enhance your eyes and create a natural look. For cheek color use a bronzer & for your lips a neutral lip gloss will do,

Hair

Natural, simple, & chic also applies to your hair. Stay away from fancy updo's, instead choose simple hairstyles - Tousled, braided, french twist, or long & loose.

Skin Care

If you are planning on getting a facial, a peel, or botox injections be sure to get this done 4-6 weeks before the wedding.

Here we present you with natural masks recipes that will give your face the glow you want.

Try a Natural Facelift

You will need:
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon of sugar

Preparation:

Whisk the egg yolks, add the sugar, apply, leave for 25 minutes & rinse with warm water.
Eggs are rich in protein & amino acids that tone skin & smooth out fine wrinkles.

Other fruits that firm & give your skin elasticity are:
Kiwi & Cherry. Mix either one of this two with honey. Apply, leave for 25 minutes & rinse.

Big pores?

Try a lemon mask

You will need:
1 lemon peel
1 tablespoon of water (or a little more)

Blend lemon peel with a little bit of water until you have ""lemon puree"". Apply, leave on for about 10 minutes & rinse with warm water.

Lemon contains Vitamin C that increases the collagen production and regenerates the top layers of the skin. It also closes dilated pores.

Brown Spots?

Apply lemon juice directly to the brown spots.
