Music is a must for a beach wedding. It creates a fun environment and allows your guests to enjoy themselves. If money is not an object a live band & DJ would be ideal. But if you are on a budget you might have to make a choice between live band, DJ, or your MP3 Player.

The best way to find a good band is through referrals. Ask your friends & relatives if they know a good band & make sure the type of music the play is the type you like. Also, a good band will have a wide variety of genres in their repertoire.

If you hire a DJ be sure to tell him/her ahead of time what you want him to play. If possible create a few playlists & discuss the times when you want him/her to play what. Like with every other vendor it is important that you make sure you are hiring a professional so read reviews, ask for references & samples of work.

That you can't afford either a band or a DJ does not mean that you wedding has to lack music. All you need is an MP3 Player and speakers. Be sure to prepare the playlists ahead of time and assign a person to play DJ.
