Spring is upon us and that can mean only one thing: wedding season! So, it should come as no surprise that Michael Vartan of "Alias" fame took a trip down the aisle this past weekend. His new bride is his girlfriend Lauren Skaar.

The ceremony took place in Newport Beach, CA at the Pelican Hill Resort. Apparently, 150 people were in attendance and the ceremony overlooked a 180-degree view of the Pacific, a sure treat for the lovely couple and their guests alike. Skaar planned the event, relishing in the freedom to plan her own dream wedding and it was apparently quite the sophisticated event.

The nuptials come as no surprise. Vartan has been adamant about how much he loves his new wife. After meeting in a parking lot at the grocery chain, Whole Foods, the couple has been inseparable ever since with Vartan especially happy that he can be entirely himself around his lovely bride.

Pelican Hill resort is surrounded by olive trees and lavender and is especially lovely at sunset. The guests are seated at an oval-shaped lawn and look on an Italian rotunda under which the couple ties the knit. The ocean serves as the perfect sparkling backdrop to the occasion. The space is surprisingly private offering a cozy yet open feeling for the ceremony.
